Job Fest

Job Fest is a Partnership between Irving Pulp & Paper, JD Irving Limited, Training & Employment development, School Districts 6, 8 & 10 to help provide Grade 11 students with an opportunity to prepare for their careers.

Job Fest is an annual event in which students apply for mock job postings in a variety of occupational sectors. Students learn how to prepare resumes and cover letters and how to conduct themselves prior to and during a job interview. Valuable feedback is provided to each student on their performance during the inteview.

Grade 11 students will receive a presentation early in February during their English class. Students will then review the job postings and apply with a resume & cover letter .
