Mr. Murphy visited his alma mater to broadcast the Live at 5 current affairs program from the school. Mr. Murphy is a 1978 graduate of SJHS.
One of the highlights of the church service was the unveiling of four paintings by Saint John artist Lynn Wigginton.
Her paintings depict the four buildings that have housed the school over the years: the Saint John Grammar School, the Victoria Girls School, and two buildings that have housed Saint John High School students, one built in 1897 and another in the 1930s.
Bicentennial celebrations will culminate with Saint John High School's Grand Reunion in mid-July.
