Greyhounds are back to school!
by Soo Min Park - Sunday, September 7, 2008
Starting with the warm and spirited welcome from the SRC and the faculty members, all Greyhounds have reported to Saint John High School for the new school year.
The day officially began with two assemblies. The 2008 Beijing Olympic-themed introduction video presented our new SRC executives and committee heads, wishing another successful and fun year at SJHS. Keeping with tradition, the assemblies were ended by the famous school cheer which reunited the school spirit as all the greyhounds cheered with passion.
Grade 9's followed along even though they were not familiar with the cheers. The first event of the week was held in the gym during lunch hour: a pizza party for grade 9's. They spent the rest of the day learning school cheers, touring school, doing ice-breaking activities, and enjoying the music played by the New Age Heroes. Grade 10, 11, and 12 students began their new courses for the semester.
Leaving the summer behind, every greyhound got ready for another or a new exciting year of high school life.
