Greyhounds Junior Rugby Up & Rucking

The SJHS Boys Junior Varsity Rugby Team kicked off their inaugural season with an exhibition game against Rockland High School from the Ottawa area. The schools are part of YMCA Youth Exchange program where each school spends a week with their host school. The boys played an exhibition game on Wednesday at the new turf field in Rothesay, Rockland took the Hounds to task and soundly defeated them 32 - 0. Jake Pilon from Rockland was outstanding with 4 trys.

The boys rebounded nicely during the mini tournament on Saturday where they defeated Bellisle and Hampton 10-0. First time try scores were Matt Doucette, Alex Tees and Matt Walford. The boys continue their season this weekend at the RNS tournament with games Friday at 3:30 & Saturday at 9 am & 2 pm. Come watch the Hounds in action.
