Forty three SJHS athletes battled heavy rains on Saturday to record the best over all performance by the school in many years. The team generated 28 top 3 results despite torrential rains and events that were cancelled completely due to weather. Building on the success of the past few years, the Greyhounds fielded the biggest team in recent years and despite not getting the provincial banner came within about 20-30 points of FHS. The team has a strong group of new athletes and very few graduating ones. We look forward to the 2011 season.

Leading the team were the following first place finishers.

Nick MacMackin - 1st in Jr Boys 400m, 800m & 1500m.
Matt McNeil – 1st in the Sr Boys 1500m, 3000m and 3rd in the 800m
Katie Robinson – 1st in the Jr Girls 1500m & 2nd in the 3000m
Connor Collrin – 1st in the Jr Boys Shot Put
Matt Doucet – 1st in the Sr Boys 400m Hurdles & 2nd in the 400m
