Preparations underway for Grand Reunion

by Josh O'Kane, Craig Estabrooks and Barry Harbinson - Thursday, July 14, 2005

Time is approaching quickly towards the 21st of July, for Saint John High School's Grand Reunion, in celebration of the school's bicentennial anniversary. Greyhounds old and new alike are working together to help put together one of the school's biggest event in the past 200 years. It's an exciting time at high school as alumni put together the final touches and preparations for the Grand Reunion.

School history archiving employees Craig Estabrooks, Josh O'Kane, Andrew Reid, and Christopher Crawford, are all working hard alongside the Alumni Executive to bring the party to Saint John High School next week. Alumni will be gathering from all across the world, from Hawaii to Germain Street to attend the event!

A four page insert will be found in the July 16th edition of the Telegraph-Journal to chronicle all the events that will unfold from July 21-24. As well, school merchandise will be available for sale throughout the reunion. The SJHS history book, A Tradition of Excellence, written by Richard and Sandra Thorne, will also be for sale, for $40. Registration for the event can be done online or in the school office, or, should you feel so bold, Thursday evening at the school itself before the opening Wine and Cheese. Those interested may also wish to attend the opening of the Peter Davidson showcase at the Buckland Gallery on Prince William Street, opening July 15th.

All greyhound graduates are encouraged to come to the Grand Reunion no matter what age, to help bring together as many of the school's graduates as possible!
