Biology Dissections fascinate students
by Steven Milley - Saturday, November 30, 2013
The semester is well underway, with the Biology department entering into the dissection stage of the 112 Biology class. Along with the observation of the crayfish and the grasshopper, the students had the opportunity to dissect either frog or a perch. Dissections, while not for everyone, help those that can stomach them get a more realistic idea of the internal workings of a living organism. This 3-dimensional exercise is much more interesting and beneficial than simply looking at the pictures in a textbook!! Next stop Human Physiology…sorry no dissection there.
