Perfect Result for SJHS Chess Club at SJEC Tournament
by Joe Boyd - Saturday, March 28, 2015
Three SJHS students competed at the Saint John Ed Centre chess tournament on Saturday at Millidgeville North School and they absolutely cleaned up! Amir David won all five of his games to win a first place finish in grade eleven. Nam Vu won four of his five games to finish in second place for Grade 9, losing only to fellow Greyhound Sam Song, who took first place with a perfect score. All three qualified to compete in the provincial tournament next month in Tracadie-Sheila.
