SJHS Best in the South West Regional Track Meet

The Greyhounds were the top school in the SW-NBIAA as a result of some very strong performances at this weekend's regional meet. SJHS will be advancing 40 athletes through to the provincial championship on June 6th. The team came away with 42 top 3 finishes from the 44 athletes competing. Athletes were required to place in the top eight and or make minimum standards to advance to provincials.

Congratulations to the following athletes who advanced to next week's championships.

Senior Boys: Alex Smith, Alex Magee, Greg Golding, Anthony Cormier, Dallas Casey. Brady Graves, Tyler Adams, Alex Niles, Jerrod Fawcett, Paul Lego, MacGregor Knox, Tom Gogan, Sam Irvine

Senior Girls: Taylor James, Keeley Shea, Charly Bonga, Laura Bonga, Victoria Leblanc, Samantha Graham, Ashley Murray, Julia Kane, Anna Hogan, Olivia Ricketts, Lauren Hogan, Sarah Cusack

Junior Boys: Ryan Evans, Patrick Currie, Dennis Emerson, Will Oliver, Jesse Lukusha, Jack Daigle, Riley Ring Dineen, Colin Niles

Junior Girls: Shania Graham, Maggie Oliver, Lauren Fairfax, Madison Kieffer, Olivia Goucher, Ashley Cormier,

The provincial champs will see nearly 500 athletes from 40 NB high schools compete in the largest NBIAA sporting event of the school year. As defending champions from 2013 & 2014, the Greyhounds are hoping to have a strong showing next weekend on our home turf at Saint John's Canada Games Stadium.
