Care Box Project
by Marylise Habiyambere - Sunday, October 25, 2015
From October 21st to November 30th Club H.O.P.E. will be partnering with Romero House to collect donations for the Care Box Project that will provide everyday needs to individuals in our community who are less fortunate. This project will help raise awareness of the high poverty rate here in Saint John. We are looking for the following items: shaving cream, razors, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, water bottles, granola bars, non-perishable snacks, and socks. We will also be collecting the usual items like sneakers, sweaters, books and other non-perishable food items in the office. All the boxes will be collected by members of the group at the end of homeroom and taken to the guidance office. Other collection days will be Thursdays and Fridays in front of the cafeteria. A table will be set up and we will have boxes in which to place the items.
