It Takes a Village to Raise a Teen!!
by Kathy Dumouchel - Tuesday, September 27, 2016
On behalf of the PSSC at SJHS, we want to invite you to an upcoming information session that focuses on mental health and our youth.
As parents, guardians, teachers or mentors, we are all seeing and hearing about the increase in mental health concerns that are facing our teens today. With this in mind, the Parent School Support Committee (PSSC) of the four high schools in Saint John have worked together over the past several months to host an important information session focused on mental health and our youth.
This session will speak to the mental health concerns of raising a teen in today's society, address some of the resources that are available within our schools and community and hear a mother's powerful personal story of hope with her daughter's journey to mental wellness.
We encourage all parents to attend to show a united understanding of the impact mental health is having on our families, our friends and our communities.
We hope you will join us and thank you for your support!
