Student Development Day this Wednesday!

by Mike Whelton - Sunday, November 5, 2017

On Wednesday, November 8th, SJHS will be hosting a Student Development Day with a focus on career exploration ,mental health and distracted driving.

This is a collaborative initiative organized by SRC & Guidance. Student Development Day is an opportunity for students at Saint John High to focus on personal growth. The day will start with a full school assembly, where special guest John Westhaver will talk about distracted driving. The next hour will be devoted to career exploration. We have over 40 volunteers coming to our school to talk to students about a variety of occupations. Finally, students will spend the final hour of the morning in workshops. Students may select one workshop here on Eventbrite. Sessions are first come first serve. Once a session is full it will close to registrations and students will have to select a new session. Information sessions are centred on understanding and improving mental health. This event is open to SJHS students only.
