SJHS Remembers!

by Webstaff - Friday, November 10, 2017

On November 10th, the staff and students of Saint John High School took time to remember and honour our war veterans. The ceremony was very moving and was lead by Will Oliver, a grade 12 student.

Ms. Wood's, IB Social Studies 10 class created a touching video, dedicated to those SJHS students who fought in the wars, including one of our recent graduates who died in April, 2008, David Greenslade.

The Honour Guard, organized by Jon Webb and led by Tristen Walker was very impressive. Readings and the Lord's prayer were done by Kathleen O'Keefe, Ali Scott, Emma Higdon, Maddie Adams Alexander.

The choir, directed by Ms. Gallagher, sang 3 beautiful pieces during the ceremony; Blessed is the Lord, All of us Are Free and Hope for Resolution.

It was a wonderful tribute and a special thank you to all of the students of SJHS who were very respectful while remembering.
