Choir Shares the Joy of Music
by Trish Gallagher - Friday, January 5, 2018
Saint John High School choirs and music students were exceptionally busy this season giving many performances throughout the city such as the Red Cross Humanitarian Dinner, The Diversity Champions Dinner, The SJ Port Authority, The Empty Stocking Fund, The SJHS Football Dinner, the 20th Annual SJHS Bazaar, Brunswick Square, a special invitation to sing at a Gala, the Brenan's Funeral Home Memorial Service and a final concert of their own in the Dennis Knibb Auditorium. The choirs were accompanied by pianists Rennei Hernandez, Dino Tremblay and Yeauen Kim; cellists Brian Shin, Conor Britt '17; violinist Yeauen Kim; and percussionist Drew Murdock. Several members of the choir and alumni also shared their talents with the people of Holy Trinity Church on Christmas Eve providing extraordinary music for their community.
A few members of the choir who are also members of the Saint John High String Ensemble, shared their talents with Harbour Lights and CBC at the City Market, and with Premier Brian Gallant at their annual Christmas Concert.
