Plaque unveiled dedicating new trophy cases
by Mr. Barry Harbinson - Friday, May 12, 2006
On April 28th, Mrs. Suzanne Farrer Irving from the Class of 1952, unveiled a plaque dedicating our new trophy cases to her brother, Frederick Keillor Farrer. Mrs. Irving, through a donation to the SJHS Alumni Association, covered the cost of the materials for this project. The oak cases were designed and built by District 08 carpenters Joe Maillette and Jim McInnis.
The unveiling was attended by Dr. David Moir, President of the SJHS Alumni Association, Mr. Dennis Knibb, former Principal of SJHS and Secretary of the Alumni Association, Mr. Joe Maillette, District 08 Carpenter, Mr. Tom Keaveney, SPR of Athletics, Student Council Executive Members, Jon O'Kane, Kalen Thomson, Laura Higgins, Phil Marmen, Brian Beckett, Joel Belding and Mr. Barry Harbinson, Principal.
The school is extremely grateful to Mrs. Irving and the Alumni Association for this wonderful addition to our school. We have been lacking an appropriate display area for our athletic trophies and this project eliminated an unfortunate deficit.
