Saint John High School's music group One Five O is very proud to present the CD Agapē, dedicated to Private David Greenslade (SJHS class 2004). David, who was an avid golfer, is remembered by students and teachers alike as a person who loved to make others laugh, was a loyal friend, and a young man certain of his desire to serve in the Canadian Forces. David was killed in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007.
One Five O is a group of SJHS musicians who meets every Wednesday at noon to play beautiful renditions of modern Christian music. Under the direction of Ms Trish Gallagher, the group offers its gifts of voice and music to the school and community, performing at various venues.
The title Agapē is derived from the Greek word for love in the sense of an unselfish, loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another. Not only does this describe David's desire to make life worthwhile for others, but also aptly describes the love, which Trish Gallagher and her young musicians convey through their music.
It is SJHS's most sincere wish that all who listen to Agapē, especially David's family, friends, and those he served with in the Canadian Forces, will find peace and sanctuary in One Five O's songs of Love.
