Attendance and Academic Conditions Leading to Exam Exemption
(You may apply for an exemption under EITHER Attendance or Academics)
An exemption (1 per semester) is a privilege earned by a student based on:
Attendance Condition: An exam in a course may be exempted with a maximum of 5 absences per semester in any one class. More than 5 absences in any class will result in ineligibility to exempt in all classes. Students must be passing all 5 courses in order to obtain an Attendance Exemption.
-School sponsored co/extra-curricular activities
-reasons connected to school/district responsibilities (i.e. late school bus)
Academic Condition: An exam in a course in which a student has achieved a mark of 90% or higher may be exempted provided they are passing all of their other classes.
