Saint John High School would like to extend Congratulations to Mr. Charlie Sullivan who has been inducted into the Saint John Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Sullivan, who has been a teacher here for well over 20 years is being recognized for his contribution to sport. The Induction Ceremony will be held in November.
In 1988, Charlie, representing New Brunswick won the World Junior Curling Championships with his cousin, Jim as skip and he as mate. In 1990, they lost in the finals of the Brier against Ed Werenich. Since then, Charlie has gone to the Brier 4 more times with various teams, and has been to National Competitions for Mixed Curling and Mixed Doubles on 9 separate occassions. Quite the feat!!!
Aside from his own curling conquests, Charlie has coached numerous curling teams to various levels of competitions, including the Scotties, the Juniors and High School.
In addition to his curling endeavors, Charlie has also coached the SJHS swim team, amassing 31 Provincial Swimming Championships!
