On October the 23rd 2021, the Saint John High Baseball team achieved Provincial greatness. Lead by province renowned head coach Tom Galbraith and assistant coaches Jeremy Steeves, Adam Erbs and Jeff Warr, the baseball team defeated Kennebecasis Valley 6-4 in the provincial finals Saturday at Memorial Field in Saint John. The Seniors on the team were Iain Warr, Ryan Galbraith, Nathan Lane, Ayden McIntyre, and Nathan Wallace. Grade 11s include Logan Steeves, Tyler Leslie, Tristan Mullin, and Izzy Paterson. Rounding out the team are grade 10s Matthew Wallace and Alex Hussey.

As the hosts of this tournament, the team was well supported by local fans, students, and teachers from Saint John High. Although the road to becoming ultimate champions was a long one, it was worth the wait. The team went 3-1 in round robin play suffering their only loss of the season against KV High. On the road to finals, the team stole a nail biter of a win from the top seed in the West, the Fredericton Black Kats. Momentum steered them past a KV team, who had been undefeated for the past 3 years with a thrilling 14-9 win. Semifinals were taken place the same day as finals and the team easily dissembled Riverview 11-1 in 5 innings. On a 4-game winning streak, the team took the field against a strong KV team and came through with a 6-4 win. Going from being in last place only 2 years ago, to now becoming provincial champions, the baseball program is certainly headed in the right direction. On behalf of the team, we would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us this weekend! We could not have done it without you!
