History I graduated from Lorne Park Secondary School in Ontario and then completed an honours BA and concurrent BEd at York University in Ontario. I began teaching at I.E. Weldon Secondary School and then worked as part of a medical/educational team at an Alternative Site for psychiatric youth and delivered the educational component to these young people also in Ontario. In 1992 I moved to Cape Dorset, Nunavut and taught as well as became Principal in a grade 7-12 school. In 1999 I moved to Grand Manan and was principal at that K-12 school until 2003 when I went to Harbour View High School as a Vice Principal. During a deferred year, I went to the central region of Nunavut known as the Kivalliq and was Superintendent of Schools. From 2005-2013 I was Principal at Hampton High School for six years and had one year as a deferred leave. During that year, I travelled with my husband for four months to Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, Dubai, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Egypt
